Circuit training consists
of a series of exercises performed in succession with
minimal rest by sets. Circuit training
routines typically involve exercises targeting several
muscle groups including upper and lower body and can include
the use of dumbbells, an aerobic step, resistance bands,
medicine balls, as well as more traditional weight
machines. Circuit training routines can often be
performed with minimal equipment and thus the time and expense
of going to the gym can be avoided while still targeting the
